The US India Business Council (USIBC) on Jan. 20 announced the appointment of Pradeep Karuturi as Policy Director, overseeing the Council’s work on Energy, Environment, and Infrastructure.
With over a decade of public policy expertise in the energy and power sectors, Karuturi will focus on fostering stronger ties between the United States and India by advancing investment, trade, and policy collaborations in these critical areas.
In a statement shared on social media, USIBC expressed their enthusiasm over Karuturi’s appointment, "We are delighted to welcome Pradeep Karuturi to USIBC as a Policy Director for our work on Energy, Environment, and Infrastructure. He has been instrumental in developing the electric mobility ecosystem and policy environment across multiple states, having led impactful advocacy efforts."

Karuturi has been a key contributor to shaping India’s evolving energy landscape through his work with both central and state-level stakeholders.
His previous roles include head of the Center for Clean Mobility at the OMI Foundation, assistant manager for Electric Vehicles and Public Policy at Bounce, and consultant and project head in the Office of the Advisor to the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He also served as an International Antarctica Youth Ambassador, highlighting his commitment to addressing global environmental challenges.

Karuturi holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Urban Environment Management and Law from the National Law University in Delhi.

Karuturi’s expertise and vision are expected to drive USIBC’s mission forward to enhance U.S.-India cooperation in energy, environment, and infrastructure, further cementing the strategic partnership between the two nations.
