Captain Pratima B. Maldonado has been appointed as the new commanding officer of the 102nd Precinct in South Richmond Hill, Queens, making history as the first Sikh female to hold this position in the NYPD.
Promoted to Captain in 2023, Maldonado has made significant strides throughout her career, breaking barriers and setting a powerful example for future generations.
