Harvard Business School (HBS) has announced its Spring 2025 cohort of executive fellows, including Dubai-based Indian-origin executive, Raj Chinai.
The 16 fellows will collaborate with faculty and students to enhance learning and research. With over 20 years of experience in venture capital and business development across the U.S., India, and the Middle East, Chinai, will collaborate with HBS professor Feng Zhu on projects exploring globalization in the digital age.

Currently a partner at growth-stage investor Iron Pillar, Chinai leads global business development and go-to-market strategies for portfolio companies. His career began in Silicon Valley, where he spearheaded business development deals at Yahoo. He later became a principal and founding team member of SVB India Capital Partners, helping build one of India’s early venture capital firms. He then joined Kalaari Capital, further cementing his influence in India's investment landscape.
Chinai also served as managing director at LCR Capital Partners, where he advised ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs) and high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) on cross-border investment opportunities. He also spent four years as managing director at Sobha Group, a leading real estate conglomerate, where he worked closely with the chairman’s office on strategic investments in the Gulf region and beyond.
Chinai is actively involved in multiple business networks. He is a founding board member of the YPO Dubai Downtown Chapter, co-founder and co-chair of the Harvard Business School Alumni Angels Association (India Chapter), and senior advisor to Taurus Family Office.
He holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, an MPA from Harvard University, and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
HBS Executive Fellows contribute to the school’s MBA, Executive Education, and HBS Online programs, fostering connections between academia and industry. The program continues to expand, offering students access to mentorship and real-world business insights.
