Reproductive Freedom for All CEO backs Harris-Walz
Timmaraju stressed that supporters of reproductive freedom are not a minority but the majority.

Mini Timmaraju, president and CEO of Reproductive Freedom for All, backed Kamala Harris and Tim Walz at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on Aug. 21.
Speaking on the third day of the Democratic National Convention, Timmaraju emphasized the importance of reproductive rights and highlighted abortion as a major election issue.
She asserted that when abortion measures on the ballot, voters consistently chose to protect reproductive freedoms and cited states like California, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Montana, Ohio, and Vermont as examples.
Timmaraju criticized Donald Trump and JD Vance’s stance on women's rights and pointed out that Trump took great pride in overturning Roe v. Wade in 2022. She contrasted this with Kamala Harris's commitment to restoring reproductive freedom in 2025.
“Do we want a president who said women should be punished for having abortions, or a president who trusts women? A vice president who voted against protecting fertility treatment, or a vice president who used fertility treatment to start a family? A president who created the crisis we're in, or a president who will fix it? This election will decide America's future. So let's elect Kamala Harris and Tim Walz,” she said at the convention.
Abortion on the ballot
Abortion will be on the ballot in at least nine U.S. states for the Nov. 5 election. This includes key battleground states that are expected to play crucial roles in the presidential race and the fight for control of Congress.
In states like Arizona and Nevada, voters will decide whether to enshrine abortion rights. These states are pivotal in the presidential contest. Additionally, both states have high-profile Senate races that could be decisive in determining which party controls the Senate.
The 2022 U.S. Supreme Court decision to eliminate the nationwide right to abortion has posed significant challenges for Republicans. The backlash from this ruling was credited with limiting Republican gains in the 2022 midterm elections and boosting Democrats' performance in state races in Kentucky and Virginia last year.
Since the Supreme Court's decision, voters have consistently chosen to protect or expand abortion access in all seven statewide ballot measures, even in traditionally conservative states like Ohio, Kentucky, and Kansas.
