Sewa International USA has launched a donation drive to provide relief to those affected by the humanitarian crisis in Bangladesh, particularly the minority groups, including Hindus.

They have urged the global community to unite in supporting the victims through the provision of food, medical aid, and shelter. "Your support is crucial in making a difference in the lives of those affected by this crisis. We thank you for your compassion and generosity," said Swadesh Katoch VP, of Disaster Recovery, at Sewa International USA.

Bangladesh has been gripped by a wave of mass violence and destruction, leading to the tragic loss of 469 lives, many of whom were members of the Hindu community. Following former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's resignation and flight to India, her supporters and associates have faced retaliatory assaults by mobs, encountering little to no resistance from authorities.

The Hindu minority, who have traditionally supported the Awami League—a party viewed as secular in the Muslim-majority country—now feel especially vulnerable due to their historical experience of violence during periods of political turmoil.

The violence has resulted in the burning of Hindu temples, the destruction of homes, and the perpetration of unspeakable horrors against women. The recent political power vacuum in the country has exacerbated the situation, with Hindus being increasingly targeted.
