Shivam Dhol Tasha Pathak delivered a ground-breaking performance at the Dallas Mavericks halftime show at the iconic American Airlines Center on April 3, marking a vibrant celebration of cultural fusion and diversity.

The stadium reverberated with the beats of traditional Indian drums as the group took the stage in traditional attire and delivered a powerful showcase, representing Indian culture on one of America's biggest stages in sports entertainment.

The group's founder, Shivam, stated that the performance fulfilled a decade-long mission to bring dhol tasha to a global platform. “Since day one, we’ve aimed to show that traditional Indian beats can resonate across cultures,”  Shivam said. “To perform at an NBA halftime show is not just a dream fulfilled—it’s proof that cultural pride and global connection can go hand in hand.”

Shivam Dhol Tasha Pathak was founded in 2014 and has since become a staple of cultural celebrations across the United States, performing at a variety of festivals, parades and multicultural events.

An integral part of Pune and Maharashtra’s cultural fabric, Dhol Tasha performances are often part of during festivals and celebrations. The main instruments include the ‘Dhol’  a large, cylindrical and double-headed drum, and the 'Tasha' a smaller high-pitched, single-headed drum.
