Meta announced the appointment of Indian-origin Shruti Dube as the UK country director on Jan. 16, with her new role set to begin in March 2025.
This move follows Derya Matras’ transition to the role of vice president for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Dube brings nearly a decade of leadership experience within Meta’s EMEA team, having held pivotal roles such as group vertical director for the UK and Ireland and EMEA sales strategy and operations Director.
Her deep expertise in strategy and innovation stems from her previous roles at McKinsey and Company and Sequoia Capital, where she focused on the tech industry’s growth and venture capital landscape.
Dube holds an MBA with High Distinction from Harvard Business School and a dual degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dube is also passionate about empowering young women. She serves as the chairperson of BelEve, a charity dedicated to equipping girls aged 8 to 18 with the confidence, skills, and support to shape their futures.
Dube shared her excitement on LinkedIn, stating, "So excited to step into my new role as Meta's UK Country Director! Looking forward to collaborating closely with our clients and partners, together with our incredible team."
With her impressive track record and commitment to positive change, Dube is poised to lead Meta’s UK operations into an exciting new chapter.
