The Sikh Center of Anderson received formal recognition for its significant contributions to the local community during a recent meeting of the Shasta County Board of Supervisors.
The accolade highlights the Center’s ongoing efforts in community service, fostering multicultural engagement, and promoting unity across the region through initiatives such as food drives and emergency relief efforts. Its commitment to compassion and inclusivity has made it a reliable support system for residents in times of need, a news release stated.
Supervisor Chris Kelstrom, who has attended the Sikh Center’s annual Multicultural Diversity Event, commended the organization for its role in uniting the community. “The Sikh Center exemplifies the spirit of community by bringing people together and celebrating cultural diversity in Shasta County,” Kelstrom said during the meeting. “Their commitment to service and diversity strengthens our community bonds and inspires others to contribute.”
