Sonali Virendra joins New York Life executive management committee

She will oversee agency operations, drive sales growth, and provide strategic leadership nationwide.

Sonali Virendra, vice president, and national life sales officer for New York Life Insurance Company, will join the company’s executive management committee (EMC) effective January 1, 2025, Craig DeSanto, chair, president, and CEO of New York Life announced in an email.

In a message to employees, agents, and advisors, DeSanto highlighted Virendra’s extensive career with New York Life, which includes roles as an agent, trainer, and wholesaler. 

“Given Sonali’s extensive experience, excellent judgment, and deep commitment to our advisors and to our clients, she will be an integral member of the EMC,” DeSanto said. He added that her strategic thinking will be instrumental in driving growth and meeting the evolving needs of clients. 

At the company, Virendra oversees a national team of life consultants and spearhead efforts to grow sales across the country. She also hosts the popular webinar series, The Life Power Hour, which consistently attracts over 1,000 agents.

Virendra earned an MBA from Sacred Heart University and a BA in political science from Mount Holyoke College. She also holds professional designations as a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
