Sowmya CM, an actress from Karnataka, was crowned Miss Globe India 2024 by Aishwarya Paatapati, the reigning Miss Globe India 2023, while Pooja Penumala took the title of first runner-up.
The competition is an international beauty pageant. the finals of which took took place in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Sowmya will represent India at the Miss Globe competition in Albania on Oct. 15.
Born in Shimoga, Karnataka, Sowmya hails from Bangalore. She gained recognition by winning Miss Karnataka 2022. In addition to modeling, she is an actress and will make her acting debut in the Telugu film Indrajaalam. She is fluent in Kannada, English, and Telugu.
Last year, Aishwarya Paatapati, scripted history by making it to the top 15 finalists after seven years. This has raised expectations for Sowmya CM as a strong contender for the international title.
The Miss Globe India 2024 pageant was hosted by Miss Celeste India National Level Beauty Pageant, which is organized by Yogesh Mishra and Nimisha Mishra, founders of Fusion Group and national directors of Miss Globe India. They have been organizing major beauty pageants in India.
