Sunita Williams will experience long-term health effects following her extended spaceflight, according to a new report by the University of Florida (UF).

Williams and fellow astronaut Butch Wilmore launched on Jun. 5, 2024, for what was intended to be an eight-day mission to the International Space Station (ISS). However, equipment failures prolonged their stay, turning the short trip into a grueling nine-month ordeal. They returned to Earth on Mar.18, 2025.
