The United Kingdom conferred the honorary Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire (KBE) upon N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, on Feb.14, in recognition of his contributions to UK-India business relations. The prestigious honor, one of the highest bestowed upon foreign nationals by the British monarchy, underscores his leadership in strengthening economic ties between the two nations.

Chandrasekaran, the first non-Parsi to lead the Tata Group, has played a pivotal role in expanding the conglomerate’s global footprint. Under his leadership, Tata Group has diversified into multiple sectors, including aviation, semiconductors, and electric vehicles.
