Tesla Inc. has posted 13 job openings in India, suggesting the company is preparing to enter the Indian market soon.

The company is actively recruiting for a wide range of roles, from customer-facing positions to back-end roles. Job listings, published on LinkedIn on Feb. 17, show that Tesla is looking for candidates in several sectors, including service technicians and advisory roles.

Five of the positions, including service technicians and advisory roles, are available in both Mumbai and Delhi, while the rest, such as customer engagement managers and delivery operations specialists, are based in Mumbai.

This development follows a meeting between Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Feb. 13 in Washington, where they discussed various topics including space, mobility, technology, and innovation.

This hiring move signals a growing engagement between Tesla and India, which has seen intermittent discussions over the years.

Tesla’s entry into the Indian market would be a significant milestone, as the country is one of the world’s fastest-growing economies and a major player in the global electric vehicle industry. With rising demand for sustainable transportation, Tesla’s presence could help drive the adoption of electric vehicles in India.
