Comedy was once a powerful tool that entertained, enlightened, and evoked deep emotions. Legends like Charlie Chaplin, Laurel and Hardy, and Kishore Kumar turned humor into an art form. Their work wasn’t just about making people laugh; it carried social messages, emotional depth, and a universal appeal that transcended language and culture.
Today, however, stand-up comedy has taken a sharp detour, favoring crude humor, offensive content, and superficial jokes that lack meaning. This shift raises an important question: Is modern comedy doing more harm than good, especially for the younger generation?
