The Mutual Group names Vineet Bansal as CITO

To support the company's ongoing growth, he is responsible for overseeing enterprise applications, data analytics, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and IT strategy.

Iowa-based integrated insurance operations platform, The Mutual Group, has named Vineet Bansal as the new chief information and technology officer (CITO). 

Bansal, a seasoned technology executive with more than 20 years of expertise, will manage  The Mutual Group’s IT strategy, the company said. He aims to prioritze  innovation, operational effectiveness, and digital transformation in the new role.

“We are thrilled to welcome Vineet to the team and leverage his deep acumen and expertise in modern solutions, including cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and automation, which will play a critical role in the continued development of our leading-edge solutions platform,” said Patrick Markowski, chief operating officer. 

Bansal comes to the firm from Oncourse Home Solutions, an Apax Partners portfolio company, where he oversaw significant M&A and technology transformation projects. He served as the senior vice president and CIO at Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions. At Fidelity Investments, he held roles from principal architect to vice president. 

Commenting on the role, Bansal said, “I look forward to partnering with Patrick and the rest of the leadership team to further strengthen our offerings, integrate new digital capabilities, and ensure our members maintain a competitive technology advantage.”

Bansal holds degrees from Indore University and Nagpur University and has completed the Advanced Management Program at The Wharton School.
