Sunjay Sudhir, Indian Ambassador to the UAE, emphasized mutual trust as the foundation of the India-UAE relationship, and how the large Indian diaspora community in the country has been key to building that trust.
“Trust is the foundation of this relationship,” Ambassador Sudhir, who was in Abu Dhabi to attend Indiaspora’s Forum for Good, told New India Abroad on the sidelines of the event.
“Our diaspora has helped us in creating a lot of that trust. So the brand India, for instance, when the Emirati rulers and the government think about India and Indians, they look at Indians as people who are very trustworthy, very sincere in their work, very hardworking,” he said.
