The University of North Carolina (UNC) Greensboro’s Bryan School of Business and Economics, has named Joyendu Bhadury as the new dean, effective April 1, 2025.
He has been acting as interim dean since July 202 during which time he also served as the Bryan School's associate dean of graduate programs and research, where he boosted graduate enrollment and assisted in obtaining outside research funding.

Previously, Bhadury oversaw the School of Business and Management at The State University of New York (SUNY) Brockport and the Davis College of Business and Economics at Radford University.
“Bhadury brings extensive leadership experience, a distinguished record of scholarship, and a deep commitment to student success and community engagement,” UNC provost Alan Boyette said.
“His vision for innovative business education, coupled with his demonstrated success in building strategic partnerships with industry and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, perfectly positions him to lead the Bryan School into its next chapter of excellence,” Boyette added.
A well-known authority on supply chain and operations management, Bhadury has authored over 100 academic publications. His research has been funded by organizations including the U.S. Department of Labor, North Carolina Department of Transportation, FedEx, and GlaxoSmithKline. He has secured $1.44 million in external grants and contracts throughout his career.
A Fulbright Program specialist for 2024–27, Bhadury has taught graduate courses in the U.S., Singapore, Hong Kong, Austria, Germany, Ghana, and South Africa.

Bhadury graduated with a B.Tech in electronics and telecommunication engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, (BHU), Varanasi, and a Ph.D. in management science from the University of Texas at Dallas.
