Indian drone manufacturer Avironix and U.S.-based drone innovator Lumenier have announced a strategic partnership to enhance technology exchange between the two nations.

The collaboration will see Avironix integrate Lumenier's advanced drone technologies into India’s defense sector through a robust technology transfer agreement. This aligns with the Indian government’s self-reliance initiative while introducing proven global solutions.

Simultaneously, the partnership will facilitate the entry of Avironix’s agricultural drones into the U.S. market, addressing the rising demand for precision farming tools. Leveraging Lumenier’s distribution networks, Avironix aims to empower American farmers with innovative solutions to enhance productivity.

"This partnership represents a significant milestone for Avironix. By joining forces with one of the USA's leading players, we are not only enhancing the technological edge of India's defense forces but also expanding the global reach of our products,”said Peter Langford, CEO of Avironix.

David Johnson, CEO of Lumenier echoed the sentiment, “By introducing our military and commercial unmanned aerial solutions to India through this partnership, and helping Avironix enter the US market, we are creating a powerful ecosystem for the exchange of drone technologies between our two countries."

Avironix, headquartered in Chennai, is recognized for innovations such as hydrogen fuel cell and amphibious drones. Lumenier designs advanced unmanned aerial systems and operates GetFPV, North America’s largest drone components store. The collaboration is expected to drive innovation, strengthen bilateral trade ties, and contribute to the global drone ecosystem.
