The United States reinforced its commitment to strengthening defense and security cooperation with India by inaugurating the U.S. Partnership Pavilion at Aero India 2025 on Feb.10.

Aero India is a biennial air show and aviation exhibition held in Bengaluru, India, at Yelahanka Air Force Station. Organized by the Defence Exhibition Organisation under the Ministry of Defence, it has been a premier aerospace and defense event since 1996. Aero India 2025 runs from February 10 to 14.

Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi, Jorgan K. Andrews opened the pavilion, emphasizing the deepening defense trade between the two nations. “The U.S. defense industry has demonstrated its commitment to partnering with India to provide high-quality, technologically advanced defense equipment and systems that are considered the most operationally reliable in the world,” he said.

Andrews added that both countries continue to explore opportunities for technology sharing, joint ventures, and industrial partnerships under the U.S.-India Major Defense Partnership.

The U.S. presence at Aero India 2025 is one of the largest among international exhibitors. A high-level delegation attended the inauguration, including Consul General Chris Hodges of the U.S. Consulate General Chennai, Brig. Gen. Patrick Teague, senior defense official and defense attaché, U.S. Embassy New Delhi, and Maj. Gen. Ricky Mills, assistant deputy undersecretary of the Air Force for international affairs.

Peter McKenna, vice president of Kallman Worldwide, represented the organization responsible for coordinating the pavilion with the U.S. Departments of Commerce and Defense.
Marking the occasion, Technical Sgt. Benjamin Huseby of the U.S. Air Force Band of the Pacific’s ensemble, Final Approach, performed the national anthems of India and the United States.

Apart from the U.S. Partnership Pavilion, the United States is also showcasing a range of advanced military aircraft at Aero India 2025 for the 13th time. These include cutting-edge fighter jets, unmanned aerial systems (UAS), advanced avionics, and defense electronics, highlighting the country’s commitment to strengthening defense ties with India.
More than two dozen American exhibitors are engaging with Indian counterparts, exploring business opportunities, and demonstrating innovative solutions in aviation and defense.
