The Consulate General of India in Vancouver marked Vishwa Hindi Diwas (World Hindi Day) on Jan. 10, with a vibrant celebration that drew over 200 participants, including members from Hindi associations, schools, and language enthusiasts.
The event featured a diverse array of activities, such as speeches, dialogues, group discussions, poetry recitations, musical renditions, and cultural performances. The program commenced with the reading of the Prime Minister's message on World Hindi Day, underscoring the global significance of the Hindi language.

Consul General Masakui Rungsung delivered a heartfelt address, emphasizing Hindi's role as a bridge between cultures and its contribution to fostering unity in diversity. He reiterated the commitment to promoting the Hindi language worldwide and expressed gratitude to all participants for their involvement in the celebrations.
In a related event, the Consulate, in collaboration with the Alberta Hindi Parishad, celebrated Vishwa Hindi Diwas on Jan. 12. The gathering was honored by the presence of notable guests, including members of the Alberta Legislative Assembly, Jackie Lovely and Brandon Lunty. Hon. Brandon Lunty shared his inspiring vision on the importance of Hindi.
The event featured a delightful puppet show in Hindi, performed by students of Alberta Hindi School. The Consulate expressed gratitude to all participants and the Hindu Society of Alberta for their invaluable support, highlighting the collective effort to keep the spirit of Hindi alive and thriving.
