The Wheels Global Foundation’s stall at the 52nd Annual National Conference of the Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine (IAPSMCON 2025) which was held in Srinagar from Apr. 11 to 13, stood out as a hub of innovation. It demonstrated how cross-sector collaboration can advance public health solutions.
Wheels Global Foundation, a social impact arm initiated by PanIIT Community, is working towards improving the lives of ‘rurban’ India. It deploys the power of the IIT ecosystem into its research and innovations, products and solutions, to solve society's complex issues - water, health, education, energy, livelihood, and sustainability.
Dr Varsha Vaidya, Professor of Community Medicine at Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College, was instrumental in conceptualizing the WGF stall. Her initiative, supported by the Wheels Global Foundation, exemplified the power of intersectoral coordination. By bringing together advancements from community medicine, technology, and wellness, the team demonstrated a model for collaborative public health action.

The organization’s stall at the national conference showcased a range of products and initiatives, each addressing critical health challenges in India. It promoted menstrual hygiene and sustainability through reusable Saukhyam Sanitary Pads. In a statement, Wheels Global Foundation said these pads offer a cost-effective, eco-friendly alternative for women and girls.
It had on display Telemedicine Solutions to bridge healthcare access gaps, particularly in rural and underserved areas, through remote consultations and digital health platforms. Wheels Global Foundation showcased Health Spoken Tutorials by IIT Mumbai. Bella Tony and Sakina Sidwa delivered educational modules on maternal and child nutrition. They equipped healthcare providers and communities with accessible and high-quality information.
Moreover, the organization showcased its innovative non-invasive and minimally invasive devices by IIT Kharagpur. These devices are for population screening of anaemia, diabetes, and oral cancer. It enables early detection and intervention.
