UAE’s national airline Etihad Airways has expanded its global network with a new destination to Jaipur, India, along with increasing flight frequencies to Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala.
Starting on June 16, the airline will initiate a new flight service to Jaipur, connecting the capital of Rajasthan with Abu Dhabi. Initially, four services per week will be offered, providing around 1,200 passengers weekly access to Jaipur, as per an official statement.
The flight will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, carrying passengers to Jaipur at 3:05 am local time and reaching at 8:05 am.
Etihad also increased services to Thiruvananthapuram, which will allow an additional 1,000 people to travel to the popular Kerala destination each week. The total frequency for Thiruvananthapuram has now reached 10, with an addition of three new flights.
Arik De, Etihad Airways chief revenue and commercial officer, expressed, “As we move forward, our enhanced summer schedule marks an important step in our growth strategy, offering our guests additional flexibility and choice.”
He further emphasized the goal of elevating Abu Dhabi’s global links and welcoming more travelers to explore the emirate’s rich history and dynamic culture. The new routes to Jaipur and Thiruvananthapuram are set to contribute significantly to achieving this objective.
In the statement, De highlighted the significance of the expansion. “Our goal is to offer our guests unparalleled travel choices and opportunities to explore the distinctive charm of Abu Dhabi, both as a premier destination and as a gateway to the world,” he added.
Jaipur, known as the “Pink City” for its rose-hued architecture, blends tradition and modernity, offering a rich cultural heritage with landmarks like the Hawa Mahal and City Palace.
