A delegation of the Foundation for Indian Americans (FIA-New England) recently met with the 11th President of Latvia, Edgars Rinkēvičs, the former Prime Minister and current Foreign Affairs Minister, Arturs Krišjānis Kariņš, during the Spotlight Latvia 2023 event held at the Westin Hotel in Boston.
The Latvian-American community along with the U.S. Ambassador Christopher Robinson were present at the meeting, which was led by Abhishek Singh, the president of FIA-New England.
The delegation honored President Edgars and his officials by presenting a set of flags representing the USA, Latvia, and India, along with the spiritual book, the Bhagavad Gita. In his address, the President recalled his meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and praised his hard work and leadership on the global stage.

Highlighting the significance of the event, Singh said that such meetings strengthen cross-cultural relations among the diaspora of both countries. He extended an invitation to President Edgars, the Former Prime Minister, and the current Foreign Minister to participate as grand marshals in the Boston India-International Parade in 2024.
Sandeep Asija, a prominent businessman, anticipated potential growth opportunities in trade, commerce, and tourism among all three countries. The FIA-NE delegation included Anand Sharma, Ankit Loonia, Nikunj Doshi, and Ankit Loonia.
