Filmfare Awards 2024: ‘RRKPK’, ‘Animal’ get most nods

The 69th edition of Filmfare Awards will take place on January 28 in Gujarat.

Bollywood films ‘Animal’ and ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ have received the highest nominations at the 69th edition of Filmfare Awards, which is set to take place on January 28, 2024, in Gujarat. 

The event will take place in association with Gujarat Tourism. The full list of nominations for the award has been announced. 

Director Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ has got 20 nominations. The film's songs ‘What Jumka?’ and ‘Dhindhora Baje’ have been nominated for the Best Choreography award. 

Actor Ranbir Kapoor's ‘Animal’ has gained 19 nominations under various categories, including Best Film, Best Director, Actor in a Supporting Role, Lyrics, Background Score, Cinematography and Screenplay. 

Vidhu Vinod Chopra's ‘12th Fail’; Sandeep Reddy Vanga's ‘Animal’; Atlee's ‘Jawan’; Amit Rai's ‘OMG 2’; Siddharth Anand's ‘Pathaan’; and Karan Johar's ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ are the six films nominated under Best Film category.

Actor Shah Rukh Khan has been nominated twice under the Best Actor in a Lead Role (male) category for ‘Dunki’ and ‘Jawan’. Other nominees include Ranbir Kapoor for ‘Animal’; Ranveer Singh for ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’; Sunny Deol for ‘Gadar 2’; and Vicky Kaushal for ‘Sam Bahadur’.

Actresses nominated under Best Actor in a Lead Role (female) include; Alia Bhatt for ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’; Bhumi Pednekar for ‘Thank You for Coming’; Deepika Padukone for ‘Pathaan’; Kiara Advani for ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’; Rani Mukerji for ‘Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway’; and Taapsee Pannu for ‘Dunki’.

Under the Best Story category, Amit Rai for ‘OMG 2’; Anubhav Sinha for ‘Bheed’; Atlee for ‘Jawan’; Devanish Makhika for ‘Joram’; Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan and Sumit Roy for ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’; Karan Shrikant Sharma for ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’; Parijat Joshi and Tarun Dudeja for ‘Dhak Dhak’ and Siddharth Anand for ‘Pathaan’ are nominated.
