Investigators from the 21 Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested and charged five individuals in connection with a prolific theft ring targeting the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO), Peel Regional Police announced on Mar.5.
Between August 2024 and February 2025, the group allegedly stole from 50 LCBO locations across multiple jurisdictions. Police say the suspects operated in a coordinated manner—some distracting employees while others accessed restricted areas to steal liquor. The total value of stolen products is estimated at approximately $237,738.95.
As a result of the investigation, the following individuals have been charged with Theft Over $5000:
Prabhpreet Singh, 29, of Caledon (additional charge: Break and Enter with Intent to Commit Indictable Offence, Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence)
All five were held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

Additionally, police have issued arrest warrants for two more individuals in connection with the theft ring: Jagshir Singh, 28, of no fixed address (wanted for Theft Over $5000 and Break and Enter with Intent to Commit Indictable Offence) and Punit Sehjra, 25, of no fixed address (wanted for Theft Over $5000 and Break and Enter with Intent to Commit Indictable Offence)
Peel Regional Police say the investigation remains active and anticipate further charges.
“The work of our Criminal Investigation Bureau has been nothing short of exceptional in dismantling this prolific organized crime group,” said Deputy Chief Marc Andrews. “By arresting and charging multiple individuals, we are sending a strong message that those who target our communities will be found and held accountable. We remain committed to pursuing criminals who threaten the safety of our neighborhoods and ensuring they face justice for their actions.”
