The Chandigarh-Sharjah flight service is scheduled to resume at Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport in Chandigarh starting Apr. 2. This twice-a-week flight will operate on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with arrival scheduled for 4:10 pm IST and departure at 6:00 pm IST.

Officials have confirmed that the summer schedule at Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport (SBSI) will be in effect from Mar. 31 to Oct. 26.

The Sharjah flight from Chandigarh was discontinued on Oct. 27 last year. The flight, operating three times a week and offering 360 available seats (180+180), was popular among the residents of the region.

Officials have indicated that there is a possibility of increasing the frequency of the flight from twice a week to thrice a week in the near future, although this hasn't been confirmed yet. With the resumption of the Sharjah flight, the airport will once again have connectivity to two international destinations, the other being Dubai. Additionally, according to the summer schedule, there will be improved connectivity from Chandigarh to Dharamsala and Jammu.

The announcement was made in the revised summer schedule released by the Airport Authority of India (AAI) on Mar. 28.

The summer schedule at the Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport in Chandigarh does not include flights to North Goa (MOPA) and Hisar. Additionally, Akasa Air will not commence flight operations from the airport as initially planned. Presently, the airport accommodates four airlines: IndiGo, Vistara, Air India, and Alliance Air.
