The Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) has announced its 2025 Convention, from March 28-30 at the Brisbane Marriott in Australia. This year’s theme is “The Indian Diaspora’s Role in Shaping Future Technologies.” The convention will begin with an inauguration on the evening of Mar. 28.

The event will also include an Awards Banquet on Mar. 29 to recognize outstanding NRIs and people of Indian origin in various fields, including science, engineering, technology, medicine, law, arts, business, public service, and community leadership. GOPIO is currently accepting nominations for these honors. Interested individuals can submit a bio detailing achievements and contact information by Mar. 1.

On Mar. 29, discussions will focus on cutting-edge topics such as artificial intelligence (AI), quantum computing, the Internet of Things (IoT), nanotechnology, advanced materials, biomedical innovations, and energy solutions.

A second track will explore themes like collaboration among NRIs and people of Indian origin, the growing impact of diaspora women, youth contributions, and the GOPIO Academic Council’s roundtable discussions.

Early registration for the convention is now open. Attendees will also receive a confirmation letter for visa purposes if required.

Following the convention, GOPIO has planned an optional group trip from Mar. 31 to Apr. 6, covering Fiji, New Zealand, and Sydney. This excursion includes sightseeing and networking with local GOPIO communities.

GOPIO, a global non-profit organization with chapters in over 35 countries, continues to foster stronger ties among the Indian diaspora, promoting collaboration and cultural exchange worldwide.
