Haley overtakes Biden in swing state match-ups

The poll results could contribute to the increasing support for Haley's campaign, which has gained momentum in recent polls.

A new poll shows that Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley would fare better than former President Trump in a hypothetical matchup with President Joe Biden in key swing states in the upcoming 2024 election.

The poll conducted by The New York Times and Siena College focused on registered voters in critical swing states, including Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

According to the poll results, former President Trump outperforms President Biden in all the swing states except Wisconsin. In contrast, Haley, the former South Carolina governor, beats President Biden in all six of these states. Furthermore, she maintains a more significant lead compared to Trump in four out of the six states.

In Arizona, she is ahead by 7 points, while Trump leads by 5 points. In Michigan, Haley leads by 10 points, compared to Trump's 5-point lead. Pennsylvania shows Haley with a 10-point lead, while Trump leads by 4 points. In Wisconsin, Haley leads by 13 points, while Trump is behind Biden by 2 points.

The poll results indicate that Trump maintains a larger lead over President Biden in Georgia and Nevada. In Georgia, Trump leads Biden by 6 points, while Haley leads Biden by 3 points. In Nevada, Trump is ahead by 11 points, and Haley leads by 6 points.

The poll results could contribute to the growing support for Haley's campaign, which has gained momentum in recent polls while other campaigns have struggled to gain traction. Recent polling suggests she is a strong contender, competing with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as the likely second-place candidate after Trump, who maintains a significant lead in the polls.
