In her first address to major fundraisers and supporters since the Nov. 5 electoral defeat, Vice President Kamala Harris delivered a determined speech, urging unity while reaffirming her commitment to the fight for core American values.

Speaking candidly about the challenges ahead, she called for resilience in the pursuit of fundamental American ideals.

“The promise of America will only be achieved if we stay in the fight,” Harris declared during her speech, which was shared in a private gathering but emphasized collective determination.

“We're gonna continue fighting for the rights of women to make decisions about their own body. We're gonna continue fighting for our democracy, for equal justice.”

Acknowledging the uncertainty and concern of the moment, Harris sought to reassure supporters of their agency in shaping the nation’s future. “We are not powerless,” she said. “Hard work is good work. Hard work can be joyful work. And we must remain intentional, continuing to build community and coalitions.”

Harris highlighted key issues that remain priorities for her and her supporters, including reproductive rights, democracy, and equal justice.

“We’re going to continue fighting for the right of women to make decisions about their own body. We’re going to continue fighting for our democracy, for the rule of law, for equal justice,” she affirmed, urging the audience to focus on collective uplift rather than division.

Harris asserted, “I'm continuing to build community, to build coalitions, and be armed with the faith and fuel by optimism that reminds us we have so much more in common than what separates us as the American people, and that we must continue to organize and mobilize and stay engaged.”

The Vice President’s address, delivered with clear resolve, reinforced her commitment to advancing progressive goals and rallied her base to remain active in the political arena.
