Harris's campaign spends nearly $1 billion in 2024 election

The top five recipients received $634.77 million, with Media and Advertising totaling $696.36 million across 1,970 disbursements.

From January to October 2024, Kamala Harris' authorized committees, including Harris for President and Kamala Harris for the People, have disbursed a staggering US$997.95 million. This total represents the candidate's substantial spending on various campaign-related expenses, with a significant portion allocated to media and outreach efforts.

The top five recipients of these disbursements have collectively received US$634.77 million. 

The largest spending category, Media and Advertising, totals $696.36 million over 1,970 disbursements, highlighting the campaign's investment in broad outreach and voter engagement.

Technology and Software ranks second, with US$264.82 million spent across 5,488 disbursements, underscoring the campaign's commitment to digital tools and platforms.

Consulting and Strategy follows, with US$135.90 million spent on 677 disbursements, supporting the campaign’s planning and strategic initiatives.

The campaign also allocated US$72.54 million to Event Production/Media Production across 16,486 disbursements, emphasizing efforts to create and manage campaign events.

Personnel and payroll expenses amounted to US$56.67 million, with 8,296 disbursements made to cover salaries and wages for campaign staff. 

In addition, the campaign spent US$14.92 million on travel and transportation across 8,405 disbursements, ensuring the candidate and staff could attend events and engage with voters nationwide.

The campaign also allocated US$11 million for donations, transfers, and contributions, with 10,859 disbursements supporting various political activities and outreach. Hotels were another significant expense, totaling US$3.37 million over 800 disbursements, covering lodging costs for staff and campaign events across the country.
