Sending a delegation of Indian Americans for campaigning purposes for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls starting on Apr. 19, phone banks in Hindi and other regional languages and sending text messages across India are some of the strategies that will be adopted by the Indian Overseas Congress of the United States of America (IOCUSA) to highlight the “authoritarian” rule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a view to educating the masses.
In a press release outlining the issues that will be raised during the process, the IOCUSA has laid out a number of domestic issues, and China, so as to galvanize the voters before polls which has been billed by the organization as the “mother” of all Lok Sabha elections. These issues would include implementing the CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) and NRC (National Register of Citizens) prior to the polls; “selling” India abroad as a modern and rising economic power while implementing radical Hindu nationalism at home as well as polarizing the community and inciting communal violence.
At a time when there has been a lot of noise on election bonds, the IOCUSA will highlight the use of independent organizations like the CBI, ED, and IT to raid and extort money through electoral bonds; the issue of unemployment;” bragging about respecting women” but failing to visit Manipur where women were gang raped; breaching promises to farmers on doubling income and MSP.
The List of campaign issues posted by the IOCUSA also includes violations in the Model Code of Conduct by using state machinery (air force helicopter) to attend election rally in Andhra Pradesh; refusing to allow opposition or civil society to examine electronic voting machines to see if they were tamper proof and downgrading the independence of the Election Commission by changing the constitution of the body by removing the nominee by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
On foreign policy, the IOCUSA has said that it would bring to attention the Modi dispensation “Risking National security and territorial integrity on border issues by keeping silent on Chinese appropriations of territory."

So who elected these goons to represent Indians in the USA. SHould they be reminded that 1) They are not citizens of India 2) As OIC they have no voting rights because living in a foreign country they would be have foreign influences So meddling in elections is unethical, immoral and also could get them in trouble. Merely raising your hand and saying "I am American" will not get you out of trouble. Besides, before voicing your opinions, understand the issues. 1) Authoritarian rule: As American say that to the Biden Govt. and its use of Govt. to harass and suppress opposition 2) CAA is an old issue brought back again 3) NRC - US already has a register. The social security system knows when you were born, where you were born and if you are a citizen by birth or naturalization 4) The President of USA travels by Air Force One for vacation, for election speeches and to collect money. And along with that goes an entire force of security guys. So how is that different. The PM needs full security. Maybe the security around Rahul Ghandy and Sonia Gandhy should be removed. Nikki Haley did not get security. Now the best part. SHOULD LEARN TO MIND OUR BUSINESS. Just because we live in the USA, learnt to wear a suit and speak a few sentences in English do not make us better than Indians in India.

Should do your due diligence before you make a fool of yourself. CAA type laws have been drafted in the USA too many times. CAA helps the non-Muslims stuck in Muslim countries where their young daughters are abducted and raped and courts punish the boy by telling him to marry her and rape her legally for the rest of her life. Now those non-Muslims will get refuge. Discriminating against Pakistanis. Bangladeshis and Afghans is legal. In fact it is the Constitution of India that discriminates against Muslims of these countries.
