Pranav Desai, founder of VOSAP, India visit consisted of numerous meaningful and high impact meetings, visits, engagements but the theme across all, aligned with the Vision of Indian Prime Minister,i Narendra Modi, of Viksit Bharat by 2047 through inclusivity and accessibility for all of Bharat’s population.

From Vision 2020 to Vision 2047 for Divyangjan: The transformative journey of past 10 years of Empowering Specially Abled People (Divyangjan) received tremendous support during my recent India visit.

Incredible Meeting with Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi

As part of its policy level advocacy, VOSAP founder Pranav Desai, met with the PM of India at his residence in New Delhi, India. The PM has taken a deep interest in VOSAP’s Vision 2047 for Divyangjan, vision of reaching a $1 trillion economy around the disability sector by 2047 in Viksit Bharat. His office immediately had a deep dive and started working with our founder to create action items to achieve this BOLD goal. The PM extended his support, blessings to the VOSAP founder.

Additionally, this visit marks a historic milestone in our journey, highlighting the significance of the connections, active collaboration, 1:1 meetings with Hon PM of India for the transformative impact we have made since 2014, starting with Vision 2020, Accessible India Campaign and now Vision 2047.

Remarkable Meeting with 14th President of India, Ram Nath Kovind

VOSAP founder shared his vision for 2047 with Shri Ram Nath Kovind for empowering Divyangjan in India during an insightful discussion. The conversation highlighted assistive technologies, such as AI-powered smart glasses, which are transforming the lives of visually impaired individuals. The Ex-President discussed these advancements with Jagadguru Swami Rambhadracharya, the visually impaired Chancellor of Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Divyang State University at Chitrakoot, further exploring their potential to create meaningful change and he was gifted by 14th President with these devices on Jan 19 at Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, paving the way for much larger engagement of VOSAP with Chitrakoot University, where thousands of blind students study. The students are set to receive the AI based smart glasses; VOSAP is keen to conduct event there and work with his team.

Additionally, he was presented with the VOSAP Art From Heart initiative, for which he expressed deep gratitude for the stunning artwork featured in the coffee table book presented to him. VOSAP is thrilled to learn that the 14th President of India will accept 10 of our paintings for his house and office.
 
Empowering Leaders of Tomorrow at IIPA

During the 80 mins session, VOSAP founder presented Vision 2047—a transformative roadmap for empowering Divyangjan in India and inspired them to take actions at their level in contributing to this goal, showcasing the impactful work of VOSAP towards empowerment, accessibility.

The session was attended by remarkable leaders, including Army Brigadiers, who extended their support to VOSAP’s enablement initiatives, pledging to provide ground support for on-the-field impact.
 

Expanding Collaboration with Government for an Accessible and Inclusive Gujarat

The Disability Commissioner of Gujarat, V.J. Rajput, and the VOSAP founder recently met in Ahmedabad to discuss innovative initiatives and strategies for empowering specially-abled individuals. Key achievements and outcomes were shared by Rajputs, IAS such as charging penalty for non-accessible places, enforcing hiring of 21,000 Divyangjan in Gujarat. Both agreed for an MoU to allow VOSAP app for accessibility rating, drive outcomes, and to be used as mechanism to formal complaints to be resolved by Commissioner’s office.

VOSAP’s transformative impact for 300 visually impaired students in Delhi NCR

VOSAP has transformed the lives of 300 visually impaired students by enabling them with AI enabled smart glasses. AI powered Smarton Smartglasses scans the environment, helps in accessing physical, educational and daily living content – empowering them to embrace greater independence and unlock new opportunities.

The event was graced by the presence of Pranav Desai (Founder, VOSAP), Rajesh Aggarwal (Secretary, DePWD, Govt. of India), and Surendra Nath Tripathi (Director General, IIPA) and other dignitaries such as Sridhar, Dilip Singh, Vijay Rai and Dr Uttam Ojha.
 
 

Transforming Lives in Ayodhya at Deenbandhu Eye Hospital

On the occasion of the first anniversary of the Ram Mandir, VOSAP founder  Pranav Desai visited Ayodhya and met VOSAP beneficiaries at Deenbandhu Eye Hospital.

Over 4,000 lives have been changed through our partnership with Kalyanam Karoti at this eye hospital in the last 2 years, benefiting individuals to regain vision from 14 districts of Purvanchal. Maharaj Nritya Mahant Gopal Das, the chief trustee of Ram Mandir, along with Kamal Nayan Shastri, blessed the VOSAP mission for empowerment and inclusion.

Pranav Desai provided inputs to the trustees and also learnt the huge demand for the cataract surgeries in the region, which he assured to continue to support in 2025 and beyond.

Transforming Lives in Bareja at Porecha Eye Hospital

At Porecha Eye Hospital, our Founder and VOSAP team spent time talking with several beneficiaries who received free Cornea transplant, understanding state of the art machines for advanced treatments like cornea and retina testing, surgeries to understanding the life-changing impact of the eye bank. This visit was a testament to the incredible work being done to restore vision and transform lives by VOSAP.

The special highlight was the motivational interaction with patients and their families, where VOSAP Founder shared words of encouragement filled with positivity.

Supporting Adults with Intellectual Disabilities at Ananddham

Our founder and VOSAP team visited Ananddham, Adroda village in Gujarat where 90 adults with intellectual disabilities reside and live life with dignity. The group was filled with high energy as the meeting was filled with lighthearted entertainment of singing and dancing.

Additionally, the residents here work actively to grow organic vegetables, create Khakhra to become self-sufficient. And VOSAP is joyous to announce that the volunteers within India and US will soon be buying products made by the residents at Ananddham.

We look forward to continuing this meaningful journey alongside all of you, working together to make a lasting impact on the lives of millions of Specially Abled People (Divyangjan).
