Himanshu Karnwal sworn in to Georgia Transportation Board

The swearing in ceremony was held at the Georgia State Capitol, where Karnwal took his oath on the Bhagavad Gita.

Himanshu Karnwal was officially sworn in as a Director for the Board of the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA) on Mar.6, following his appointment last month by Governor Brian Kemp.

Karnwal, the founder and CEO of ISHTECH INC, an IT solutions architecture and design company, expressed his gratitude for the appointment, stressing his commitment to contributing to the board's work in advancing Georgia's transportation infrastructure.

The Georgia Regional Transportation Authority plays a key role in improving mobility, air quality, and transportation planning across the state. 

“I am truly honored and grateful to have been appointed by Governor Brian Kemp to serve as the Director for the Board of Georgia Regional Transportation Authority,” Karnwal said. “Thank you, Governor Brian Kemp, for giving me this opportunity to serve, and I deeply appreciate the confidence and trust you have placed in me. I look forward to contributing to the Board to make a positive impact and contribute to the continued growth and success of our great state of Georgia.”

Karnwal was officially sworn in at a ceremony held at the Georgia State Capitol, where he took his oath on the Bhagavad Gita.

“Today was my Swearing-in Oath ceremony with the Governor at the Georgia State Capitol, and I am blessed I was able to take my oath on Shrimad Bhagavad Gita,” he noted.

Several officials and well-wishers attended the ceremony, including State Senators Shawn Still and Matt Reeves, along with State Representatives Scott Hilton and John Bradberry, and Georgia Student Finance Commission President Lynne Riley. Karnwal also extended his appreciation to friends who joined him for the event, including Sreedhar Venkat, Prakash Srivastava, Rahul Gautam, Swetha Pakala, Keshav Pandiri, Shivakumar Sharma, and Sanjeev Gupta.

With 25 years of experience in the information technology sector, Karnwal has worked with major Fortune 100 companies such as Sony Pictures, NBC Universal, eBay, and Nike, managing and designing global IT infrastructures.

In addition to his professional achievements, Karnwal is a dedicated community leader. He serves as a planning commissioner for Johns Creek and sits on the board of directors for the Johns Creek Chamber of Commerce. His involvement extends to several organizations, including Rotary Johns Creek North Fulton, as well as advisory boards for Quantiphi and Waypoint 2 Space.
