Rajeshwar arrived an hour earlier than the appointed time of 9.30 am. He is a guide engaged by Anecdotes Journeymart travel group for pilgrims at the luxurious Shivadya tent city camp in Prayagraj, India.
Stuffed, as the cauliflower parathas they had just eaten, the guests sat in the e-rickshaw Rajeshwar had engaged for them. The rickshaw carried the requisite sticker that would allow it onto the thoroughfare where akharas are situated across the river.
They wound their way to the largest of the 14 akharas, Juna, in Sector 19. The Maha Kumbh mela spread over 42 km is divided into 25 sectors.
