Consular camp to be held in Kansas city for Indian diaspora

US passport holders of Indian-origin and Indian passport holders can verify applications for OCI, visa, renunciation, renewal, GEP, or PCC at the one-day consular camp organized by IAKC and the Indian Consulate, Houston.

The Consulate General of India in Houston, in collaboration with the India Association of Kansas City (IAKC), will host a one-day Consular Camp on Mar. 8, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Hindu Temple & Cultural Center of Kansas City. The temple is located at 6330 Lackman Rd, Shawnee, KS 66217.

US passport holders of Indian-origin applying for an OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) Card, emergency visa, or renunciation of Indian nationality can bring their applications and supporting documents for verification. Similarly, Indian passport holders applying for passport renewal, GEP (Global Entry Program), or PCC may also have their applications verified at the camp.

Officials from the Consulate General of India, Houston, will review the documents. Once verified, applicants must submit applications to Visa Facilitation Services (VFS), Houston, for processing. Miscellaneous consular services, except for No Obligation to Return to India (NORI) and Police Clearance Certificate (PCC), will also be available. However, no passport renewals, visas, or OCI cards will be issued on-site.

This initiative will provide Indian nationals and persons of Indian origin an opportunity to receive consular assistance and interact with officials from the Consulate General of India, Houston. Pre-registration is required for attendance.
