Indian computer science students from New Delhi received the Bronze Award at the 2025 Global Best M-Gov Award in Dubai. They were honored for innovative mobile solutions for social impact.

All India Radio News shared on Feb. 11, through an X post: “Three Indian computer science students from New Delhi won the Bronze Award at Global Best M-Gov Award 2025 during the World Government Summit in #Dubai. The accolade recognizes innovative technological solutions advancing mobile government services and societal progress.”

The award was presented by Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, vice president of the UAE, along with a cash prize of $10,000, on the summit's opening day.

The winning team—Sagar Teotia (team lead), Abhinav Mishra, and Anushka Singh—are fourth-semester computer science students at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, Delhi. They developed AccessWay, an AI-powered app that helps people with disabilities navigate easily using augmented reality (AR), artificial intelligence, and crowdsourced data.

The app provides personalized route guidance with AR overlays and real-time voice assistance for visually impaired users. It also allows people to map accessible locations and helps businesses get certified for accessibility, making them more inclusive. Users who share useful accessibility information earn rewards, creating a sustainable and supportive ecosystem.

The organizing committee praised the team for their creative and scalable solution promoting social inclusion.

The M-Gov Award and GovTech Award, presented annually by the UAE government at WGS, received over 3,500 entries from 74 countries, with 60 finalists and six winners. These awards encourage students, researchers, governments, and businesses to use technology to solve global and local challenges for a better future.
