HindiUSA Saint Louis spotlights Indian culture
The event attracted over 400 guests

The Saint Louis chapter, HindiUSA, a nonprofit that promotes the Hindi language in the United States, recently celebrated its second annual cultural event to highlight the diaspora’s cultural understanding.
HindiUSA Saint Louis founders, Mayank Jain and Anshu Jain, welcomed the audience of over 400 people. Consulate General of India, Chicago’s Consul for Press, Information and Cultural Affairs Sanjeev Pal served as the event’s chief guest.
Special guests, including Parkway Schools board president Jeff Todd, board member Deborah Hopper, and Parkway School superintendent Keith Martin, alongside Rockwood School District vice president Tamarah Rhomberg and board director Kary Bachert, graced the occasion with their presence.
The highlight of the event was the cultural showcase by 130 talented HindiUSA students. They presented of 21 captivating performances, representing diverse religions and festivals such as Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Jainism, Deepavali, Holi, Mahashivratri, Navaratri, Sankranti, Krishn Janmashtami, Gangaur, and Baisakhi.
Indian epics such as Holika and Ramayana were also narrated at the event. Vibrant shopping stalls for jewelry, clothing, and delectable Indian street food were also part of the festivities.
“HindiUSA’s 2nd annual cultural event was not just a celebration but a testament to the rich tapestry of community spirit and cultural diversity. The collective effort and enthusiasm of all participants and supporters made it a resounding success, leaving lasting memories and fostering greater cultural understanding,” a statement by the organizers said.
