Hindu Mandir Empowerment Council to host conference in Morrisville

The Hindu Mandir Empowerment Council (HMEC), an initiative of the World Hindu Council of America (VHPA), is gearing up to host the 17th annual conference and the 11th annual Hindu Mandir Priest Conference (HMPC) at Hindu Society of North Carolina (HSNC), Morrisville, NC.
The HMEC conference is the most significant annual event for all mandir (temple) stakeholders in the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean Islands. This includes past and present executives, community leaders, volunteers, and those involved in a variety of seva activities through temples.
This year, the event will be held from Sept.27–29 under the theme "Hindu Diaspora: Deepening Their Sanatan Dharma Roots." The event will include educational webinars in collaboration with the Hindu University of America, webinars on temple safety and security in the face of Hinduphobic attacks, and discussions on creating positive narratives around Hindu symbols like Swastika.
The conference aims to establish HMEC as a network of Hindu mandirs, ashrams, gurudawras, derasars, and organizations dedicated help mandirs build effective and sustained leadership through generations by sharing best practices. “We are excited to bring together Hindus associated with the mandirs, priests and archakas, along with dharma gurus and ashram representatives, for a special conference. We invite you to join us, so we can all connect, learn, and share how we can better serve our community,” the HMEC said.
