Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh USA (HSS) chapters across the nation actively celebrated Earth Day in the month of April with various environmental initiatives. Volunteers and members joined hands to clean adopted parks and streets, plant trees, and restore local habitats. A few chapters also collaborated with civic bodies and community groups for this.

In Central Jersey, HSS partnered with the Edison Health Department for park cleaning, drawing enthusiastic participation from children and women volunteers. Indianapolis witnessed an interfaith tree-planting event organized by Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc., where the local HSS chapter contributed.

Similarly, the HSS North Carolina chapter, in collaboration with global IT firm TCS, organized a community cleaning event.

Mayor Melissa Hernandez of Dublin CA led the Dublin Pride Volunteer Day festivities, joined by HSS volunteers in park enrichment and landscaping activities. In Bentonville, Arkansas, families affiliated with the HSS chapter dedicated their Earth Day to cleaning their adopted street, emphasizing environmental responsibility.

Further activities included HSS volunteers participating in Earth Day Arbor Day events in Mission Viejo CA, planting 120 trees, and a musical tribute to Mother Earth in Seattle WA.

Volunteers from Boylston MA contributed to the Louise House Annual Town Cleanup with soulful Ram Bhajans, while Contra Costa CA saw a significant turnout for a coordinated park cleanup at Brentwood Veteran Park. Several other HSS chapters across Chicago IL, Dublin and Cleveland OH, North and South Jersey, Massachusetts, and Washington DC also engaged in similar environmental projects, showcasing their dedication to saving the environment.

Earth Day is celebrated worldwide on Apr.22 each year, serving as a poignant reminder of the collective responsibility to appreciate and preserve our natural surroundings.
