The Hindu University of America (HUA) has announced the availability of 20 Youth Scholarships for the Winter quarter of Orientation to Hindu Studies (OTHS) course, commencing on January 20.

Prospective applicants are invited to submit their applications, which should include their name, email, resume, and a statement outlining the reasons for enrolling in the course. Selected candidates will be notified via email.

Each selected candidate must participate in the entire course as a mandatory component of the scholarship, which is exclusively open to residents of the United States, a release by the university noted.

Founded in 1989, the HUA received authorization in 1993. Its primary objective is to offer students a distinctive academic setting for the exploration of knowledge systems rooted in and evolving from Vedic thought. It encompasses the diverse aspects of philosophies, traditions, culture, and civilization commonly referred to as Hinduism in popular understanding.

The university further aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the rich heritage and intellectual traditions associated with Hinduism. It extends its mission to individuals keen on personal growth, holistic lifestyles, spiritual transformation, and fostering harmony with nature and diverse communities.

The university is characterized by its non-sectarian and non-denominational nature. It refrains from endorsing any specific Hindu perspective, tradition, or sampradāya. Instead, it provides a platform for the genuine presentation of a wide spectrum of subjects falling under inclusive terms such as Hindu, Vedic, and Sanātana Dharma, making it a place for diverse and authentic learning opportunities.
