In a historic and unprecedented show of support, the June.15 fundraiser held in Los Angeles has set a new record as one of the largest Democratic Presidential fundraisers in history, raising over $30 million. The enthusiasm among donors and supporters for the re-election of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in 2024 is palpable and unmatched. This overwhelming support underscores the Democratic Party's commitment to protecting and advancing our democracy under the steadfast leadership of President Biden.
As Democrats, we are united in our motivation to safeguard our democratic values and push forward the progress our country has achieved. The upcoming 2024 election presents a stark choice: the protection of our democracy or the election of a fascist—Donald Trump. This choice is not merely political; it is a defining moment for the future of our nation.
The choice between fascism and democracy is real and it is ours to make. As we stand on the precipice of another crucial election, the stakes couldn't be higher. The path we choose will shape the future of our nation for years to come. The clear path forward is the re-election of President Biden and Vice President Harris. Their leadership has brought stability, progress, and hope to our country during challenging times.
In this critical journey, the Indo-American community plays a pivotal role. Our community's strong support for President Biden could be the margin of victory in many battleground states. The engagement and commitment of Indo-Americans in this election can ensure the continuation of policies that promote inclusivity, economic growth, and international cooperation.
During the event, President Biden and former President Obama passionately rallied against former President Trump, highlighting the Democratic incumbent’s policy achievements and infusing the atmosphere with both humor and serious discourse. The event featured notable figures such as George Clooney, Julia Roberts, and Barbra Streisand, drawing thousands of supporters who contributed between $250 and $500,000 for a chance to be part of this historic evening.
In a light-hearted moment, President Biden joked about the pandemic response under Trump, yet quickly turned serious, acknowledging the profound impact of COVID-19 on the nation. Obama praised Biden for building upon their administration's policies, such as expanding access to the Affordable Care Act and increasing funding to combat climate change.
First Lady Jill Biden echoed the sentiment, contrasting her husband’s lifelong dedication to public service with Trump’s self-serving agenda. She emphasized the importance of showing up and speaking out against bullies, urging supporters to work harder than ever to ensure a Biden-Harris victory.

This event featured President Biden, President Clinton, First Lady Dr Jill Biden, and Secretary Hillary Clinton, raising an impressive $8.2 million. This successful formula, first tried in New York City in March, has proven highly effective, allowing Democratic donors to engage with multiple presidents in a single evening.
On June.15, Biden raised $30 million in Los Angeles with celebrities and former President Obama. In the last two weeks alone, we have raised over $40 million. Our campaign continues to show strong fundraising momentum, having booked $50 million in TV ads this month, with one branding Trump a "convicted criminal."
As we move forward, let us carry this momentum with us. Let us continue to rally behind President Biden and Vice President Harris, ensuring that our voices are heard and our votes are cast. Together, we can protect our democracy and secure a brighter future for all Americans.
