Anurag Thakur, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, visited the International Media Centre on September 5 to assess the preparations and arrangements for the G20 Leaders' Summit. The Summit will be held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on September 9 and 10, 2023.
During his visit, the Minister was given a tour of the MCR, Studio, PCR, PQR, and social media areas at the location. Thakur said that the scale of the event's organization was unprecedented, and he expressed hope that the Leaders' Summit would go down in history as one of the most significant international gatherings ever held in India.
The Minister asserted that the International Media Centre has top-notch amenities, demonstrating the strength of New India. The facility's walls are decorated with works of Indian art and culture. The Bharat Mandapam, where the summit will take place, is right next to the media centre.
"India will flaunt her rich culture and heritage during the summit and at the same time put forth a lofty image of a New India," the Minister said, describing India's projections for the Summit.
The Himalaya Media Center, where press conferences will be held, can seat more than 300 journalists, he added.
