The United States of American witnessed vibrant celebrations in honour of India's 78th Independence Day. Amb. R. Ravindra, Chargé d'Affaires & DPR, raised the national flag at India's Permanent Mission in New York. The celebration was attended by members of the diaspora, Indians working at the UN, and the Mission family.
At India House, Ambassador Vinay Kwatra raised the tricolor. The celebrations included wide range of events from painting competitions to a special Bharatnatyam performance on Jayate Jayate Bharat Mata. Members of the Cricket Association for the Blind in India also took part in the event.
