India won by a huge margin of 132 runs against Nepal on Friday to secure their place in the semi-finals of the ongoing ICC Under-19 World Cup.
The Men in Blue were off to a shaky start, but a commanding 215-run stand between skipper Uday Saharan and Sachin Dhas helped India pose a strong total of 297/5, the highest ever for India at the U19 Cricket World Cup.
Another dominating performance by India as they storm into the semi-finals of the #U19WorldCup 2024
Match Highlights
Nepal started slow with no loss of wickets in the first few overs; however, as the bowlers upped the ante, the opponent’s lineup fell and went from 48/0 to 77/7, leaving them slim to no chance to get back in the game.
Player of the Match was given to Maharashtra youngster Dhas for his crucial century. Accepting the award, he said he idolizes Sachin Tendulkar and that’s why he has taken the jersey no. 10.
Defending champions India will next take on host South Africa in the semifinals in Benoni on Tuesday.
