The French Space Days India 2023, a collaborative effort between Business France, CNES, GIFAS, ISpA, and IFCCI, with backing from IN-Space and ISRO, wrapped up with significant accomplishments and notable statistics, highlighting the robust partnership in space endeavours between the two nations. This immersive event spanned four days in Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, where leading minds and specialists from both France and India came together to commemorate space innovation and foster collaboration.
The ISpA event witnessed a significant delegation of 28 prominent French companies, which showcased their cutting-edge space technologies, products, and services. Among the participating companies were ADR, Airbus Defence and Space, Axon Cables, COMAT, ConnectSAT Aerospace, CORIOLIS COMPOSITES, CROUZET, CT Ingénierie, and many others. In addition to these companies, over 55 esteemed delegates from France, including industry leaders, scientists, and innovators, demonstrated a keen interest in cross-border collaboration.
The event featured two engaging panel discussions, one centred on the establishment of partnerships within the space industry to promote mutual growth and technological advancement, and the other dedicated to driving innovation in the emerging New Space sector.
The event was noteworthy for the signing of significant Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between five French companies and their Indian counterparts. This development lays the foundation for a promising roadmap of bilateral space cooperation.
Commenting on the event's success, Eric Fajole, director of Business France India, stated, “These key figures and achievements exemplify the commitment of both nations to collaborate and innovate in the realm of space technology. French Space Days India 2023 has not only celebrated the past and present but has also set a solid foundation for the future of space cooperation between both countries.”
