The scheme, aimed at international students, will provide opportunities to study at Indian universities across various disciplines. The online application process will commence on February 20, 2025, via the ICCR A2A Scholarship Portal with a submission deadline of April 30, 2025.

A total of 131 universities and institutes are participating in the scheme. Applicants can select up to five universities in order of preference. Eligible candidates must be between 18 and 40 years for undergraduate and postgraduate programs, while PhD applicants can be up to 50 years old.

However, scholarships will not be available for medical, paramedical, fashion, law, or integrated courses such as BALLB (5 years) or BSc & MSc (5 years).

Students are required to have medical insurance coverage of at least $500,000 (INR 5 lakh) per annum and must ensure all submitted documents are in English. The final selection process will be completed by July 10, 2025, with students expected to register on India’s Study in India (SII) portal for visa processing.
