India-US strengthen cybersecurity ties with new MoU

India and the US signed an MoU to enhance cooperation in cybercrime investigations, improving response times and strengthening digital security.

India and the United States on Jan. 17 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in cybercrime investigations. The agreement was formalized by India's Ambassador to the US, Vinay Kwatra, and acting US Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristie Canegallo.

In recent times, both countries have faced an increasing number of cyberattacks and digital threats, including financial scams, terrorism, violent extremism, and organized crime. These threats require international collaboration to effectively combat and mitigate their impact.
