Karan Soni made his movie debut in a short comedy film, titled ‘Kaka Nirvana,’ in 2010 opposite Rachel Quinn. He gained international prominence with the role of Dopinder in ‘Deadpool’ movies in 2016 and 2018. Soni also appeared in the TV show ‘Blunt Talk’ with Patrick Stewart where he played a news producer, a role devoid of the ‘Indian’ element.

He studied at an international school in Delhi India where he was first exposed to acting in plays and the experience. He moved to Los Angeles to study business at the University of South California, where his teachers advised him to audition for TV shows and movies.

Soni found himself a small agent at age 19 who lined up auditions for him, and the rest is history. The actor has several big banner projects to his credit, including ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ where he voiced the character of Pavitr Prabhakar.

He will also be returning as Dopinder in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ the third installment from the ‘Deadpool’ movie franchise, releasing on July 26, 2024.

Aside from Indian American actor Soni, Lana Condor, Keegan-Michael Key, Cree Summer, and Tatyana Ali are all lined up to appear in the next episodes. Season 3 was picked up for 14 episodes by ABC in November 2023, and will be much shorter than Season 2 which had 22 episodes.
