Indian American appointed chief technology officer of Kalderos

Velamoor has more than 20 years of experience as a leader in engineering and product development.

Kalderos, developer of the original Drug Discount Management platform, has announced the appointment of Sudhakar Velamoor as its new chief technology officer (CTO).

Velamoor has more than 20 years of experience in the creation of complex enterprise SaaS software and AI solutions, earning him a reputation as a leader in engineering and product development. His expertise has been primarily applied in highly regulated sectors, including healthcare and financial services. 

During his tenure as head of engineering at COTA, Velamoor played a key role in formulating and implementing technology strategies for real-world data and analytics solutions. Under his leadership, COTA introduced new products that substantially boosted revenue, achieving an impressive 80 percent year-over-year growth, while also streamlining operations through automation.

Velamoor possesses extensive expertise in cloud-native development, machine learning applications, and the construction of scalable architectures. He is recognized as a strategic thinker and a highly effective problem solver. Velamoor holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India, and has earned a CTO Program certificate from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

Kalderos has developed a platform that leverages transparent data to facilitate collaboration among stakeholders involved in drug discounts, resulting in more accurate and efficient payment of these discounts. Since its inception in 2016, the company has identified over $1 billion in inaccuracies in discount requests.
