Indian American Impact Fund survey: Harris leads Trump among South Asian voters
Key issues for South Asian voters include inflation, the economy, and abortion

The Indian American Impact Fund, representing Indian and South Asian Americans, released the first-ever poll of South Asian voters in battleground states. The survey of 600 likely South Asian voters in the upcoming general election across Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania suggests Harris leads Trump by 48 percent.
Harris voters also show higher motivation, with 80 percent rating their enthusiasm to vote as 10/10, compared to 66 percent of Trump voters.
Key issues for South Asian voters include inflation, the economy, and abortion. The community remains firmly pro-choice, with 76 percent supporting legal access to abortion most or all of the time.
Harris holds an advantage over Trump on several issues, including those typically associated with Republicans, with voters trusting her by at least 2-to-1 across a range of topics.
With over 400,000 eligible South Asian voters in these battleground states, this community could play a decisive role in what is expected to be a very close election.
Since 2016, the Indian American Impact Fund has endorsed 191 candidates and raised over US$20 million to boost representation, mobilize voters, and drive positive change nationwide.
Indian American Impact will hold a Partner and Press Poll Briefing on Oct. 16 at 12:30 PM to discuss key findings from their latest survey of South Asian voters in battleground states.
